Holidays can be expensive, and is often the one time of the year when you can get away from it all and relax, so it is important that you choose the right holiday in the right location with the right accommdation. It is often difficult to make a decision based on the glossy brochures produced by the tour operators. Are they likely to criticise something that they are trying to sell to you?
The best way of finding out whether a holiday will meet your requirements is to speak to other people who have already been there, or better still read a number of honest, unbiased reviews from like-minded people.

Mitsis Hotels Rodos Village, Kiotari
Sun Summary...
Went 2 years on the trot, 1st was just before the 6 weeks summer hols and 2nd time was during. The bottom pool was chaos during the summer school break, head to the top one or the beach which has a great bar for drinks and food. The beach also has canoes to use for free, but the bananas etc are charged for.
The hotel staff respond to how you treat them. If you are respectful and polite they are great, and although it's all inclusive a couple of Euros tip here and there goes a long way to getting served at a busy bar. The ampitheatre for the kids disco and the nightly enteraintment is really nice.
Not much around the resort of Kiotari, but there is a lovely smart bar across the road behind the supermarket. Or take a walk up to the bars/shops past the Maris Hotel and go into Stelios' bar, very nice bloke.
Taxis into Pefkos are about 10euros and 15 to Lindos. Lindos is beautiful, a world heritage site. Stunning views, nice bars and restaurants and a couple of clubs. Pefkos has a small 'strip' of bars, shops and restaurants. The restaurants are very good and cheap as well.
Great for families, singles will be gutted.
